The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. This course is 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols.
Students learn NRA's rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, two-handed and one-handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook and through completion of the course, students will earn a course completion certificate from the NRA.
Students do not need to bring firearms to this class, but may do so if approved by the instructor. .22 LR pistols & revolvers will be provided for students to use. Ammunition is also provided. This course is limited to 10 students. Cost is $150 per student, which includes all materials, including .22lr ammunition.
Classes must be purchased individually for each student, as the certificates of completion will be issued to each person's name. When more than one student will be attending please purchase each class in a separate transaction.
